Please note the change to the U14 grading time.
The U8 competition is not graded in the GHFA competition, however we do grade an U8 'Blue' team as preparation for full grading in U9 next year. Any U8 player is welcome to try out for our U8 Blue team, however grading for U8 players is not compulsory. Players not selected for the U8 Blue team, plus all other U8 player that don't attend grading, will be placed in teams based on friends and/or school association.
Junior players registered to play in U9 through U18 age groups in the GHFA competition will be placed into a team on our Junior Grading Days that are taking place on the Sunday 10th and Sunday 17th February. It is important that all players attend on both days at the times allocated below. Players must be registered in order to be graded.
Please note that due to planned work at Normanhurst Oval this year, grading will take place at Headon Park, Sinclair Avenue, Thornleigh (just off Duffy Ave).
To assist in the smooth running of the grading day, it would be greatly appreciated if you could follow the guidelines below:
Please ensure you arrive 15 minutes prior to your timeslot and make sure you have a water bottle and sunscreen applied.
- Shin pads and trainers only to be worn (No Football boots).
- Parents should remain behind the roped grading area. This is to ensure that we are able to grade players fairly and for the players to be able to play without having to worry about people on the sideline.
- In the event of inclement weather we will advise of any changes via the Normo Eagles Facebook Page. The current forecast is for mostly sunny weather, but based on our luck last year anything could happen!
For further information see the NEFC Grading Policy about how players are allocated to graded teams.
